DAMMYKRANE AND WIZKID FIGHT AT CLUB QUILOX

The beef between African pop superstar Wizkid, 25, and Dammy Krane, 23, turned violent in the early hours of today (January 15) at Club Quilox.
Nigerian footballer Obafemi Martins held a party at the popular night club located in Victoria Island, and as expected a lot of celebrities and music stars showed up including Dammy Krane who recently attacked Wizkid on Twitter for allegedly stealing some of his ideas from him.

At around 4a.m, sources said Star Boy singer Wizkid showed up at Quilox. According to an eye witness who spoke to NET “When Wizkid entered the club, it seemed he saw Dammy Krane but didn’t go to meet him, then about 15 minutes later, it seemed Dammy was showing him some attitude, then Wizkid went to meet him. Wiz threw his cup at Dammy Krane that resulted in a bust lip. Dammy Krane had to be restrained by 3 people to stop him from retaliating. Read below:

SHE HAD SEX WITH MY FATHER'S FRIEND

After signing their peace accord papers on Wednesday, January 6, between the families of David Adeleke and Dele Momodu over Davido’s custody of his daughter, Imade Adeleke, more facts emerge about his baby mama Sophie Momodu.

Davido who made this revelation to officials of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), at Ikeja, Lagos during his visit to the agency to answer the petition brought against him by his estranged Baby mama.

According to The Whistle, Davido revealed that his Baby Mama was having sexual relations with his father’s friend, Dr Deji Adeleke who is based in Dubai. He alleged that although he was aware of her sexual escapades but was blinded by love.

Addressing the issue of her being a liar, Davido further disclosed that Sophia Momodu lied about being two years older before he discovered she was six years older. Adding that, she was not a graduate as she has claimed earlier.

DELE MOMODU HITS BACK AT DR OLA BALOGUN

The filmmaker was against the attitude of Davido’s babymama Sophia Momodu and also the role played by her uncle Dele Momodu such that he called for the condemnation of the Momodus.

The senior Momodu has responded to Dr Balogun’s letter condemnation revealing in his statement that there is more to Dr Ola taking side than we may know. Read his statement below:

It is disheartening that while many well-meaning Nigerians have stepped in to intervene in the face-off between music superstar Mr David Adeleke, aka Davido, and the mother of his baby Ms Sophia Momodu, my cousin, a senior citizen and film-maker, Dr Ola Balogun, has chosen to cast aspersions on me for reasons best known to both of us. In a well-circulated comment he made in newspapers and on social media, Wednesday January 6, 2016, Dr Balogun maliciously attacked Sophia and I without caring to find out what led to the present debacle. 
I had the highest regards for Dr Balogun and had always responded to his calls and text messages to my London line most times. I wish to apologize to him publicly if I have not been able to attend to his certain demands but it is regrettable that he would retaliate through this vengeful manner. Though I bear the same title of Bashorun with my late mentor Chief Moshood Abiola, I’m just an ordinary journalist of very modest means. Let me assure Dr Balogun that elders like him have brokered peace between the families and by the grace of God we should have good news sooner than later.
Dr Balogun should please bury whatever animosity he has against me and join others in reconciling the families instead of pouring petrol into the conflagration.

SOPHIA GET A JOB AND DON'T TURN DAVIDO TO AN ATM MACHINE - DR OLA BALOGUN

The first generation of Nigerian film makers in addressing Davido baby-mama issue condemned in totality the role played by Ovation magazine boss Dele Momodu. He also charged Sophia Momodu to get a job to support her lifestyle and not turn Davido into ATM.

The letter reads in part:

I was heartbroken to read about what young Mr. Adeleke has been going through at the hands of Mr. and Mrs. Dele Momodu and their neice (or cousin?).
If Davido’s account is true, the activities of the Momodus deserve to be roundly condemned by all right-thinking Nigerians.
Shouldn’t the baby’s interests be paramount? As for the mother of the baby, she should be thoroughly ashamed of herself for having inflicted so much pain and suffering on her child as a result of her alleged drug habits.

Another excerpt for the letter reads:

If I understand rightly, the young lady is able-bodied. Why doesn’t she go and seek gainful employment somewhere, instead of partying all over the place and expecting the father of her child to pick up extravagant bills?
Why must she consider Davido a personal ATM that is there to cough up money on demand at each instant? It is really too bad!

The music star took to his snapchat handle and posted several pictures of him receiving treatments with the caption: “STRESS.”

Davido who was reported to have just returned from a show in Gambia, is currently undergoing medical treatments in an undisclosed hospital in Lagos.

The baby daddy also took to his twitter handle posting a picture of him with the caption:

DAVIDO HOSPITALIZED FOLLOWING BABY MAMA DRAMA

The ‘Aye’ singer in an Instagram post on Tuesday revealed that he was about to be discharged from the hospital. 

Davido, who hinted about collaboration with rising singer, Humble Smith, however refused to disclose the name of the hospital or ailment he was diagnosed with.

The news of his hospital admission comes after the 23-year-old was accused by Sophia Momodu, his baby mama of kidnapping their seven-month-old daughter, Imade Adeleke.

Since the past week, the news has turned into a full blown scandal with both parties throwing allegations at each other.

While Davido accuses his daughter’s mother of being irresponsible, Sophia Momodu and her uncle, media entrepreneur, Dele Momodu, are saying Davido and his family of trying to use their wealth to take the baby away from her mother.

After revealing an extensive expose on the crisis rocking his relationship with his baby mama, Dele Momodu came out to dismiss the reports but the Omo Baba Olowo crooner, Davido fires back at him.

Dele Momodu took to his Instagram page on Monday night, January 4, posting a picture of Davido’s Sister Ashley carrying his niece in a pool with the caption:

 “the newspapers were awash this morning and the social media has been on fire since yesterday. 
My cousin SOPHIE MOMODU was comprehensively scandalized. Even a Laboratory result alleging she’s a cannabis smoker was splashed everywhere. She was said to have infected her won baby with cannabis. The vicious authors expected some gullible people to believe them. Nothing could have been cruelest. Our initial reaction was to maintain the ceasefire but this latest attack against a defenseless lady who merely asked that she be allowed to enjoy the fruit of motherhood was the limit of recklessness and rascality.

After seeing his post, Davido immediately took to his Snapchat handle posting several comments in reply to Dele Momodu’s post and ceased the opportunity to advice his baby mama, Sophia Momodu.

ORGANIZERS INSISTS HEADIES AWARDS IS TRUSTWORTHY

Organizers of the Headies awards, smooth promotions, have insisted that the award remains credible and winners’ emerged without financial inducement or favour as speculated on social media. The 2015 edition of the award which took place January 1, 2016 have thrown up several controversies including the spat between producer, Donjazzy and rapper Olamide following the emergence of Reekado Banks as winner of the competitive Next Rated category ahead of fans favorite, Lil Kesh.

In a statement issued by the organizers, it claimed “Voting, Year In Review and Definitions Of Each Category, are generally taken for granted by many artists.” It also condemned the behavior of Olamide at the venue of the event and promised to address the issue at a later date.

While it is not out of place for an artiste or a party to vent their disapproval, we strongly condemn all kinds of improper conduct and the use of profanity on live television. In the same manner, we condemn provocative comments. In all, we see no use or reason for a disgruntled artiste or party to destroy valuable properties put in place to give them extra comfort before they perform or come on stage. This is totally unacceptable and will be addressed, 

the statement added.

Meanwhile, the two label owners jointly tendered the apology via Instagram.

We are proud of what we have achieved over the years. The Headies stage has birthed the careers of many artistes who are of A-list status today. We are also glad that we have reinstated pride and prestige into the winning of a locally organised music awards and, we have celebrated artistic ingenuity for 10 straight years; a feat no other group before us was able to achieve.
 
Every year, the screening team collate all creative materials released in the year in review and screen for nomination. This tedious process goes on for at least three months before the screening team comes out with a final list. Unfortunately, most times, Voting, Year In Review and Definitions Of Each Category, are generally taken for granted by many artists. We can also attest to, and hereby state categorically that, there is no evidence that any of the artistes aggrieved and vocal about their displeasure to the turnout of the award, voted in the ‘Next-Rated’ category, as our voting process captures email addresses and phone numbers.
We have ensured that the awards happened regardless of sponsorship, and that it gets better with each passing year, without giving excuses about challenges. We may not have gotten everything 100% right, but integrity has been our watch-word. The 109 Nigerian artistes that have won can attest to the fact that they did nothing different from those that have not. Awards by nature, are and will always remain, controversial except every nominee gets one.
We try to ensure that winners are within reach before announcing their category, as the whole essence of celebrating talents will be defeated without that.

DJ JIMMY JATT BLASTS OLAMIDE & DONJAZZY, HEADIES

Legendary DJ Jimmy Jatt has openly reacted to the saga that ensued after Jan 1 Headies Awards that took place in Lagos.

Apparently angry with the manner Olamide and Don Jazzy acted after Reekado Banks was presented the coveted award for Next Rated, Jimmy Jatt decided to take on all parties involved in the imbroglio, including the award organizers.

“When i wrote my first open letter to Headies on December 29, 2013, the majority opinions I got was that I was correct while others felt I was just an “Attention seeker”. Headies as an award should be credible and not just over hyped. We have hundreds of award shows every year in Nigeria and they are not as controversial as this one. Headies as an award are still not appreciating certain artiste, producers, entertainers and Dj’s who work 24/7 to make sure they bring out the best. They give us the impression that once you are not nominated or you do not win, you have not started your career; This is a BIG LIE. Over the years, All Ayo Animashaun and HipTv family have proven that it is Money over Integrity and that is why he always ignores the choices of majority of Nigerians or could it be that they innocently don't even know what they are doing?
I am not here to analyse the faults of headies in full but you can read the other complains on twitter with the hashtag #TheHeadies2015.
Firstly, I noticed your hall was half empty. Your live broadcast that you always brag about had the picture quality of NTA channel 10 and your technical crew were going offline every time things became awkward and they immediately have to switch to “lyrics on the go” to cover up your shame. I watched BET African awards live and MTV and i can see a very huge difference in all aspects. You still have a lot to learn. Another disturbing fact is that headies as an award is creating bad blood among colleagues in the Nigerian music scene. Headies is the reason why we have not seen collaborations among certain musicians. Tell me why Phyno,Davido, Falz, Solidstar and many other music producers and artiste who
have been topping charts this year where not recognized? Next Rated
Now Of all the categories, this is the only one worth arguing over.Even though this is not a voting category, I stand by million of Nigerians to say that Lil Kesh or Kiss daniel deserve the award. What are the reasons? Lil Kesh has more hit tracks, Swag, Stage performance, Composure and in the long run Lil Kesh may last longer for years to come. In fact, I will rather invest N10m on Lil kesh career than Reekado’s. That is not to say Reekado is not hardworking or he does not have the talent but lil kesh has that special something. In fact Reekado still does not have any Hit track to date. Yes !!!!! I say that with all sense of authority. Songs like Corner, Sugar baby, Catapult are NOT hit tracks, they are just popular and they could have gone National but they are NOT hit tracks. Don't confuse a popular song with a Hit track. Let me explain, As a DJ if I dont play “Gbese” “Efejoku” “Shoki” “Reggae Blues” “Woju” “Laye” “Godwin” at any party, i will have loads of people coming to request for them but people dont disturb me if i do not play Reekado banks songs. Do you get the point? In fact another proof Reekado still does not own a hit track is that an average Nigerian parent who do not follow music still know songs like “Woju” “Bobo”, “Ojuelegba” and “Efejoku”. While i was writing this, i played Reekado’s songs to the older generation and they claimed never to have heard them.
In conclusion
All Nigerian artiste and producers, do not place your hope on the Headies which should now be referred to as “The Leggings”. Do not say because you where not recognized it means you are not trying, keep doing what you are doing and let the Headies keep on doing what they are known for – NONSENSE.. !!! Do not forget to send your insults and blessing to the writer @Baddestdjtimmy and tell me exactly how you feel. I also need someone to clear this please, Don Jazzy said ” The organizers told him to call Reekado to come…So he left Alibaba’s show” Does that mean he knew Reeky was going to win that category? Cynthia Morgan was absent and i am sure the organizers did not tell Jude Okoye to tell Cynthia Morgann to rush down there.”
